Gelik Aberwhinge

Gelik Aberwhinge is a spry, energetic Gnome with blond hair and a neat goatee. He dresses stylishly at all times. “If you can’t take the time to dress properly, no one will take what you have to say seriously,” is his reply when people question his tidiness. With liberal use of prestidigitation, his fine clothes always seem freshly cleaned. Only the ink stains on his fingers break the illusion of a proper Gnome gentleman. “If you don’t have ink stains on your fingers, no one will take your writing seriously” explains the dapper bard.

Personality: Gelik is quick-witted and a talented speaker. Unfortunately, he is occasionally insensitive when it comes to the misfortunes of others; he often simply can’t help himself when a remark too clever not to share leaps from his tongue.

Story: Gelik boarded the Jenivere at Magnimar in something of a rush when a local merchant discovered that Gelik had sold him a fake Thassilonian relic (a practice that has resulted in his poor standing in the Pathfinder Society). Gelik knows of an old story about a Pathfinder Society ship called the Nightvoice that went missing in these waters, and the most popular theory as to what happened is that the ship ran aground on Smuggler’s Shiv or sank near the island. He admits that he’s currently “on probation” with the Pathfinders and that finding out what happened to the Nightvoice could go a long way toward clearing his record with the organization. He knows where the ship is, but there are complications about reaching it.

  • The Party helped Gelik explore the wreck of the Nightvoice and recover the expedition’s log.
  • Gelik helped the party overcome the mutineers of the Bilgerat, and in doing so, became obsessed with Symerlee, cleric of Calistria.
  • Amused by the smitten gnome, Symerlee traded sex for information on Saventh Yhi which she shared with her cousin Kassata Lewynn, a Free Captain of the Shackles. Gelik also used the information of the Night Voice and lost city to restore his reputation among the Pathfinders, but his loyalty lies squarely with Symerlee.

Faction: Free Captains of the Shackles/Pathfinders
